The Group conducts applied and fundamental research in many areas involving advanced composite materials and structures. Areas of research interests include processing, impact, and fracture/damage. In all areas there is a tight coupling between modelling and experimental activities.
Major research funding in the form of contracts and grants is provided by various industries and governmental agencies.
